# NOVARA — The Founding Register

An original fictional republic and 4,000-certificate ERC-721 collection on Robinhood Chain mainnet. No yield, payout, financial rights or redemption.

## Experience

Connect a compatible browser wallet, switch to Robinhood Chain 4663 and choose BUILD, FEED or DEFEND. Each wallet can mint exactly once for life at 0.0002 ETH plus gas. Mint confirmation requires an actual successful transaction receipt. The wallet register displays the minted token and whether it is still owned. Every 100 confirmed category mints unlocks a national chapter. Developed preview never changes on-chain counts. Council gameplay below is separate, free and locally saved.

## Playable council — version 4

The council beneath the atlas is free and independent of certificate issuance. Start with 65 provisions, 45 materials, 25 influence and 12 workers (4 farming, 3 mining, 2 council, 3 reserve). These are game supplies, never fictional NV treasury/debt. Assign at most 12 workers; unused workers produce nothing.

Use the explicit season button: no offline rewards or waiting. Seasons cycle Rain, Growth, Harvest, Winter. Farm production is workers × (5 + irrigation bonus), plus seasonal 0 / 3 / 8 / −4, minimum zero, plus 6 from the granary. Mining gives workers × (3 + tools bonus), plus 6 under industry and 4 from the bridge. Council gives workers × (2 + civics bonus), plus 3 from the expedition beacon. Consume 18 provisions, reduced by 6 under rationing and 4 with resilience. Each resource is capped at 999; production overflow is discarded. Insufficient food consumes the available stock and causes an extra −15 health / −10 stability. Health and stability stay between 0 and 100; low values do not lock the player out of recovery.

Balanced policy gives +1 health and +1 stability each season; rationing gives −3 health / +1 stability; industry gives +1 health / −4 stability. Medicine adds +3 health, clinic +4 health, charter +3 stability. The visible forecast shows current production, consumption and condition changes before commitment.

Eight research nodes use exact prerequisites and one-time costs shown in the council: Tools → Irrigation → Medicine; Tools + Civics → Logistics; Tools → Architecture; Medicine + Logistics → Resilience; Civics + Resilience → Charter. Four one-time projects include a granary, clinic, reconstruction bridge and expedition beacon. Expedition is an immediate deterministic, provision-funded civic mission, not a timed journey or random loot. Projects add production/health benefits and labeled game markers to the real atlas, never certificate chapters or NFT issuance. The beacon awards a cosmetic Explorer badge represented by its completed project state.

Fixed exchanges: 10 materials → 15 provisions; 18 provisions → 8 materials; 12 provisions + 6 materials → 6 influence. Trades cannot exceed capacity and are rejected atomically if unaffordable. They have no external prices or financial value.

Every third completed season triggers a seeded crisis. Resolve it before advancing. Flood: pay 10 materials for +5 health / +3 stability, or lose 10 health. Council dispute: pay 10 influence for +8 stability, or lose 12 stability. Crop pests: pay 15 provisions for +6 health, or lose 10 health. The seed and pending event persist; reloading does not reroll a crisis. All players begin with the same deterministic seed; this is not gambling.

Three one-time mandates: after 2 seasons with 70 provisions, claim 20 materials / 8 influence; after 2 projects, claim 30 provisions / 15 influence; after 8 seasons with 6 research nodes and health/stability at least 70, claim 40 materials / 25 influence / 10 stability. Claims are explicit and cannot repeat.

The interface is English-only. Older Indonesian council log entries are translated for display without rewriting saved progress.

Persistence: council schema 4 uses a separate `novara.council.v4` key and supports migration from council schema 3. Legacy local certificate saves are no longer used by the issuance panel. Council validates bounds, clones state for atomic actions, checks revisions and consumed action tokens, keeps only 40 log entries, and uses Web Locks where supported to serialize tabs. Browsers without Web Locks should use one active tab. Failed storage writes reject the action rather than silently losing progress. Council reset asks confirmation and saves a local pre-reset backup, without deleting certificates; on-chain issuance cannot be reset. Browser storage is editable and removable: this is not server-authoritative anti-cheat. No multiplayer, paid bonds, betting, crypto yield, daily gates or real-world rewards.

## Mainnet issuance

Robinhood Chain 4663. Contract: 0xcEC68995C7D972acabdbAE55F7dB69d2f02cEe1B. Price: **0.0002 ETH** in every category, plus network gas. Exactly **one lifetime mint per wallet**, even after transfer. Supply 4,000: BUILD 1,400; FEED 1,400; DEFEND 1,200. Exact payment is required and forwarded atomically. Mint failure reverts issuance and payment. No yield, redemption, financial rights or real citizenship.

## Art direction

Engraved founder certificates on ivory paper: architectural silhouettes for BUILD, wheat and cultivated landscapes for FEED, watchtowers for DEFEND. Dark navy editorial shell, antique gold, muted green/crimson, serif headlines and monospaced archival details. No generic neon gradients.

Art is authored procedurally as original SVG geometry. **All 4,000 production artwork SVG files and all 4,000 matching metadata JSON files are generated**, using `build_collection.py` version `novara-engraving-v3`. Global IDs 1–1400 map to BUILD serials 1–1400; 1401–2800 to FEED serials 1–1400; 2801–4000 to DEFEND serials 1–1200. Each metadata image URL is absolute and points to the public canonical SVG. Seven major certificate frame compositions, varying structure counts, civic roof and building archetypes, farmland orchards/mills/terraces, fortress towers and terrain geometry create structural variation. The same asset files are used by the simulation, gallery, and downloads.

The collection manifest records deterministic per-file SHA-256 hashes and version. `collection/audit.json` reports text-free decoded foreground hashes and nearest-neighbor grayscale thumbnail screening. Contact sheets include representative tokens and closest pairs. **Numerical uniqueness is not aesthetic approval or proof all 4,000 look unmistakably different. Human visual acceptance remains pending.** The collection contract is deployed. Gallery artworks exist before mint; gallery presence is not proof of ownership.

Original emblem: `assets/novara-emblem.svg`, with a 1024×1024 PNG export and SVG favicon. Angular N within a territorial hexagon; not a modified third-party logo.

## National goals and atlas

The large atlas supports pointer dragging, zoom controls, fit-to-map, named structure inspection and a selector containing all 40 chapters, including locked ones. Selected chapter persists independently in `novara.chapter`. Category structures vary by functional silhouette (bridges, civic halls, stations, mills, orchards, terraces, towers and sanctuaries); some share architectural families rather than 40 bespoke illustrations.

Sector advancement remains exact: floor(category-issued / 100). First 100 BUILD creates its first chapter; 99 does not. Balanced foundation requires at least one completed chapter **in all three sectors** and grants the local cosmetic **Founders Seal**. Resilient republic requires five chapters in every sector and grants **Civic Laurel**. Reaching all caps grants **Republic Crest**. These titles are computed from confirmed national issuance and cannot be traded or redeemed. They neither multiply issuance nor provide economic returns. Partial unbalanced contributions remain valid but do not satisfy balanced goals. Fully-developed preview changes only visible buildings, never goals, ledger, or balances.

The wallet register reads its lifetime mint and current token owner from the contract. National progress reads contract category counters. One token per wallet for life; no batch mint.

Each chapter unlocks at `(chapter index + 1) × 100` class certificates. Each serial belongs to exactly one chapter of 100 contributors. The atlas uses functional architectural families, with each of the 40 chapter locations individually selectable.

## Contract and application implementation

OpenZeppelin ERC721, Ownable2Step and ReentrancyGuard. Immutable price, category caps, total cap, payment recipient and canonical metadata URL; no reserve mint or upgrade proxy. Owner may pause/reopen mint and transfer ownership using two-step acceptance. Contract source uses audited OpenZeppelin components; the custom collection has not received an independent external audit. Exact runtime bytecode was compared locally. Explorer source verification is tracked separately and is not implied by deployment.

Council is a separate local browser simulation, with no NFT rewards or financial claims. National issuance and wallet mint records are blockchain-authoritative. Metadata URLs are fixed in the contract but HTTPS files remain operationally mutable; this is not a cryptographic metadata freeze.

## Verification

`verify.py` runs Playwright Chromium and produces `evidence/test-results.json`, desktop/mobile screenshots, and generated art. Re-run with Python packages `playwright` and `Pillow`, and a Playwright Chromium installation:
